2007 Championship Results:
SIERRA COLLEGE EASILY WINS FIRST WRESTLING STATE TITLE

FRESNO - On the strength of nine place winners and two individual state champions, Sierra College easily beat all other opponents to win their first California Community College Athletic Association wrestling championship at Fresno City College on Saturday night. The Wolverines amassed 146.0 team points, which beat second place Cerritos College by 43 points, as they finished with 103.0 team points. Joining Sierra with two individual state champions were third place Lassen College and sixth place Modesto College. Sierra's Norman Richmond, who won the 133-pound state championship was named the Most Outstanding Wrestler, while Sierra's Ken Wharry and Don Martinez were voted as the Coach of the Year and Assistant Coach of the Year, respectively.
