(2/1/2010) THE FOLSOM LAKE COLLEGE FALCONS WOMEN'S TENNIS TEAM IS NOW 1-0! The team travelled to Modesto yesterday for their season debut and it was extremely exciting. The 6 singles matches were split evenly (3-3), which meant the outcome would be determined by the 3 doubles matches. The 1st team doubles went to Super-Tiebreaker with Modesto winning, 14-12. The 2nd team doubles also went to Super Tiebreaker, but with FLC taking it 13-11. It came down to the 3rd team doubles, and it ALSO went to Super Tiebreaker. The Falcon women won that match 11-9 to clinch the 5-4 victory for Folsom Lake College! This is the first-ever victory for a Falcons intercollegiate athletic team. Celebrate this historic moment!
